Our flu jabs are now available!

If you are eligible for a free NHS flu vaccine and haven't had one already, you can walk in or book online to have yours at our pharmacy.

Why should you get a flu vaccine?

Flu vaccines are available every year to protect you from getting ill from the flu. It is particularly important if you are at risk of complications, such as those aged over 50 or suffering from a chronic disease. Although they are not 100% effective, they are the best way to protect yourself and others from the flu. Due to the lockdowns during the last flu season, the natural immunity of the general population to the flu will have decreased. This means that even if you have not had the flu jab previously you should consider it this year.

Do you need a flu jab if you had one last flu season?

It is important to get vaccinated every year as your immunity will gradually decrease and new strains of flu appear which you may not be protected against. This means last years vaccine may not protect you from this year's flu strains.
