Iron Tests

This test measures haemoglobin levels. Haemoglobin contains iron and is an essential part of the blood that carries oxygen to cells. Low levels suggest iron deficiency anaemia which can cause tiredness, shortness of breath and pale skin. You may have low iron levels due to blood loss, lack of iron in your diet, or pregnancy.
